Kalash Vitals | Wichita

Conscript today for sixteen hours of training specifically on the world’s most prolific rifle, the Avtomat Kalashnikova.  This is not an entry level course.  Be prepared to learn efficient manual of arms employing the AK, then putting those skills to use in a highly physical class.

Gear List

  • An AK series or Kalash style rifle chambered in 7.62×39 or 5.45×39
  • 1,000 Rounds of ammunition
  • Four or more magazines
  • Rifle sling
  • Support gear that allows the shooter to carry at least three magazines
  • Eye protection and hearing protection
  • Weapon cleaning gear with cleaning rod.
  • Gloves are recommended, knee pads are optional

Handgun Vitals | Wichita Area

This Handgun Vitals is a handgun training class held in Wichita, KS. It is designed to present students of all experience levels, the skills and knowledge necessary to take them to a high level of proficiency with a defensive handgun.  The shooter will learn to deliver precision at a fast pace while increasing his or her ability to problem solve a defensive use of force situation.

Day 1

  • Life safety as it relates to defensive use of force
  • Grip and standing position
  • Hard sight focus
  • Hard target focus
  • Ready positions for a spherical environment
  • Post engagement scan, actions and communication
  • Gaining rapid precision
  • Drawing from concealment (or OWB)
  • Engagement technique
  • Speed reload
  • Clearing stoppages common to defensive handguns
  • Gaining the advantage
  • Movement to dominant positions

Day 2

Topics Include

  • Life safety as it relates to the armed citizen
  • Review of core defensive shooting fundamentals
  • Strong hand problem solving (one hand manipulations)
  • Protecting a third party
  • Kneeling, prone and supine positions
  • Forward movement
  • Backward movement
  • Strong hand only
  • Fighting from retention
  • Lateral movement
  • Final event

Gear List

  • Good guy evidence, such as CCH permit, purchase permit, LE credentials etc.
  • A handgun chambered for a common defense caliber (.22 is acceptable, but not recommended)
  • A quality (non-collapsing) holster
  • Belt
  • At least 3 magazines or 4 speed loaders/strips for revolver shooters
  • 600-800 rounds

Patrol Rifle Problem Solver | Two Day | Wichita Area

Class Description:

Patrol Rifle Problem Solver is not an entry level course. Shooters must be proficient in manipulation, weapons handling and relevant rifle skills. Patrol Rifle Problem Solver is designed to increase the skill and proficiency of experienced individual officers working alone or in a team environment. The course focuses in increasing officer proficiency in weapon manipulation, problem solving and tactical decision making based on environmental factors. This is a fast-paced course with intermittent stress and little downtime.

  • Zeroed rifle

  • 350-450 rounds of rifle/carbine ammunition
